Subsidies for your AI project?

Check your eligibility

Start a subsidised AI project, guided end to end by CROPLAND.

CROPLAND helps Belgian SMEs turn a first AI idea into a working, secure solution. Depending on your region and your project, these projects often qualify for regional subsidies through Flemish, Brussels or Walloon programmes. Data-driven decisions since 2013: we guide you from the eligibility check and application through to a solution that runs in production.

From maturity scan to a working AI solution: the CROPLAND AI Framework

It starts with an AI Maturity Scan, then runs through our framework: Discover, Align, Design and Deliver. One common thread from first assessment to a working solution, built for SMEs without a large IT team. We handle the subsidy application with you.

1
Maturity scan

Map your starting point

We map your processes, data and systems and score where you genuinely stand today. This is the concrete starting point, and where relevant we check your subsidy eligibility.

2
Discover

Insight and direction

We provide insight and direction. What can AI mean for your business, and what can it not? Teams gain clarity and confidence without chasing hypes.

3
Align

Tie ideas to strategy

We focus on what truly creates value. AI ideas are tied to strategy, so that time, money and energy all pull in the same direction.

4
Design

A clear, scalable plan

We examine how processes, decisions and data run today and how they can run better. The result is a clear plan that is scalable and works reliably, often with AI as the accelerator.

5
Deliver

Build and embed

We build and implement solutions that work in practice. Just as important, we guide people, so that change actually sticks.

Which AI subsidies are available for your SME?

Ideas for a project to submit together

The examples below are exactly that: inspiration for what a subsidised project could look like. Together we shape a project around your situation, an AI Maturity Scan, a phase of our AI Framework, one of the productized agents below, or a custom build by our developers, and submit it. What is eligible, and whether an application is approved, is never guaranteed: it is always assessed programme by programme, case by case.

01

Smart matching agent

An autonomous agent reads invoices, purchase orders and orders from your mailbox and matches them against your ERP. It processes what fits and hands only the exceptions to a person.

Pillar

Automating work

Autonomy

Autonomous · human in the loop

result

80-90% automation in comparable work

02

Quote & order agent

One agent turns free-text requests, PDFs and spec sheets into a structured order or quote in your ERP, including pricing parameters, with a review step for doubtful cases.

Pillar

Automating work

autonomy

Autonomous · human in the loop

result

Faster order-to-quote, consistent pricing

03

Knowledge Agent

A knowledge agent built on your own verified sources (RAG). It invents nothing, cites the source for every answer, and works across HR, technical or customer-service questions alike.

AI Data Analyst

An agent on top of a reliable data warehouse that runs analyses, spots patterns and anomalies, and reports the findings in plain language on a recurring basis.

AI Maturity Scan & assessments

The accessible entry point: we map your processes, data and systems and turn the Discover and Align phases into a clear, prioritised roadmap, often the best fit for assessment-style subsidies.

Custom development

Beyond our productized agents, our developers build tailored solutions for your own processes, for example a program that speeds up your invoicing, integrated with your systems and properly maintained.

These are examples to spark ideas, not a promise of funding. We assess feasibility and eligibility with you first.

Who qualifies for these subsidies?

Many of these programmes use the European Union’s SME definition. As a rule of thumb, an enterprise qualifies as an SME when it has fewer than 250 employees and meets at least one of the following financial thresholds:

Fewer than 250 employees (full-time equivalents).

Annual turnover of €50 million or less

Balance sheet total of €43 million or less.

Programme-specific conditions may also apply, including region of establishment, company age, project phase and de minimis aid limits. The figures of relevant partner or linked enterprises may need to be included when determining SME status. Eligibility is assessed case by case, which is exactly what we check with you first.

Questions about AI subsidies and the journey

Which AI projects qualify for subsidy?

It depends on the programme. Assessment-style budgets, such as the AI Maturity Scan and the Discover and Align phases, are broadly accessible for registered SMEs in Flanders, Brussels or Wallonia. Larger build and implementation budgets have stricter conditions. We check which programmes fit your specific project before you commit.

Larger build and implementation budgets have stricter conditions. We check which programmes fit your specific project before you commit.

It varies a lot by programme, region and project phase, and the larger amounts come with strict conditions that not every project meets. Wallonia’s Start IA and Tremplin IA and Flanders’ Start AI are accessible, assessment-level budgets; larger project or R&D funding is possible but assessed case by case. We map the realistic options for your situation first.

Yes. We help build the file and apply with you through the relevant regional programme (VLAIO, Brussels or Wallonia), so your project starts with funding in place.

This is the accessible, often-funded first step: a strategic assessment, a roadmap and an MVP blueprint, before a full implementation with CROPLAND. It follows our AI Framework: Discover, Align, Design and Deliver.

Tell us about your organisation and where work slows down. We’ll check which regional subsidy programmes you qualify for (Flanders, Brussels or Wallonia) and propose a concrete first project.

Prefer to talk it through first? Book a short, no-obligation call and we’ll walk you through the options for your region and sector, and what a subsidised project could look like.
